2-for-1: Removal of 2 Dislocated Fluocinolone Acetonide Implants With Placement of a New Implant
- Video
- Published 2013
This video demonstrates a technique to remove 2 dislocated fluocinolone implants in exchange for a new one in a 43-year-old woman with panuveitis. One pellet had separated from its suture strut near the vitreous base, while the other was dislocated posteriorly into the vitreous cavity. Using 20-gauge instruments and an infusion chandelier, both pellets were removed and a new fluocinolone implant was placed through the same sclerotomy.
