Retinectomy Under Oil

In this case, a patient who has developed a proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR)-related redetachment is undergoing reoperation. The patient's eye is already filled with 5000cs silicone oil. Instead of removing the oil to perform the retinectomy, we perform the retinectomy (20 gauge) in an oil-filled eye.
