Scleral Buckling Illuminated

Scleral buckling is an important technique for retinal detachment repair, and various techniques have been described. This video demonstrates the use of an operating microscope for superior visualization and better surgeon ergonomics. Using the BIOM (Insight Instruments, Inc, Stuart, FL) with an endoilluminator chandelier allows for intraoperative fundus visualization and assists with cryotherapy of retinal breaks and drainage of subretinal fluid.
