Macular Hole Repair With ICG Stain

This video shows the basic principals to macular hole surgery. This patient is a 65-year-old female with a Stage IV macular hole of greater than 6 months duration. ICG dye is used to stain and better visualize the internal limiting membrane (ILM). A pinch and peel technique is utilized to remove the ILM. Post-operative OCT shows macular hole closure.
